Karin Skeppstedt gained control over her skin problems by changing her diet and adding fatty acids both internally and externally.
My name is Karin Skeppstedt, a happy mother of four. I have always suffered from skin problems and have been dependent on strong cortisone creams since I was a child. As an adult, my problems have mainly been on my hands, legs, and during the worst periods, even on my neck and face.
I also have a contact allergy to two substances that are common in most perfumed skin care and cleaning products. I avoid these substances completely by only using unscented products.
In recent years, I have become interested in how diet affects my skin and my problems. During my four pregnancies, my symptoms were better, and during these periods I was also extra careful about what I ate. After I stopped breastfeeding, when life started to return to normal, my symptoms came back with renewed strength.
It was worst in the fall of 2012. I realized that a change was necessary. When I received a book about raw food as a Christmas present, I took it as a sign that it was time. At New Year, I started eating 100% raw food. I cut out all dairy products, gluten, and meat. After about 10 days, I had a huge cleansing reaction where the symptoms became much worse. I looked like a boxer with completely swollen eyes. Not fun!

Among other things, I learned the importance of supplying the body with the right fatty acids, both internally and externally. I brought home blackcurrant capsules and the entire range of blackcurrant products, cream, oil and shampoo. Then came the big change. When we met again and performed the same measurements as during the first visit, we saw significant improvements in the results. Since February, I have been completely free of my symptoms and have not used cortisone cream once.
As for my diet, I now eat 50% raw food and 50% cooked vegetarian food. I still avoid dairy products and meat. Sometimes I crave a sandwich and then I treat myself to one, but I feel best when my gluten intake is low. I eat 3-4 blackcurrant capsules per day. My skin now has an elasticity and softness that I have never experienced before. Of course, it is still fragile after all these years of using cortisone cream, but if I am careful and wear gloves when washing dishes and cleaning, and moisturize my hands regularly throughout the day, I have no problems. For me, this is a miracle. I recommend blackcurrant seed oil to anyone with similar problems.
