Yes — we’ve developed a Sensitive range specially formulated for people with extremely dry and sensitive skin, which is unfortunately becoming more common. Our Sensitive products contain no added fragrance, citric acid, or harsh preservatives that can irritate the skin.
Everyone’s skin is different, so we recommend testing the product on a small area first to see how your skin responds before applying it more widely. Some people prefer a cream, while others find that an oil feels more soothing — it depends on what your skin needs.
If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to send you some samples to try first.
Our Sensitive range includes products that are gentle and specially formulated for children’s delicate and sensitive skin.
Blackcurrant Oil can be used for nappy rash, cradle cap, and as a protective barrier on exposed areas before bathing.
Quick Repair Cream can be applied all over the body and has a slightly higher pH to help minimise stinging or discomfort.
Q Ultra Care is a fragrance-free, mild and caring shampoo for your child, made with gentle coconut-derived cleansing agents.
At Q for Skin, our philosophy is simple: skincare should feel good – and be a safe, trustworthy choice for the whole family.
If you suffer from dry skin, our experience shows that it is beneficial to nourish and strengthen the skin both internally and externally. Our nutritional needs for fatty acids, especially GLA/Omega-6, are not always met by the food we eat. Blackcurrant seed oil contains botheasily absorbedOmega-3 and GLA fatty acids in perfect balance, which help to strengthen and build up the skin barrier. We recommend applying Quick Repair Cream and Blackcurrant Oil (unscented) or Intensive Nourishing Serum (with a mild natural scent) together with 4 Q Omega Supreme capsules/day until you experience less skin dryness.
There can be many underlying causes, so we recommend booking a personal consultation so we can discuss your symptoms in more detail.
In our experience, diet plays a significant role when it comes to skin issues. Fast carbohydrates such as sugar, white bread, white pasta, sweets, or alcohol can trigger stress responses — both in the body and in the skin. It's worth reviewing your eating habits to see if something might be contributing to the itching.
Harsh cleansing agents and chemicals in haircare products can also irritate the skin. We suggest trying our gentle Q Ultra Care cleanser — free from harsh surfactants, fragrances, and preservatives.
Fungal imbalances in the skin are also common. Try washing with our Quick Relief Shampoo, which helps rebalance the skin’s microbiome. If the itching is due to a fungal issue, we recommend pausing the Quick Repair Cream and using only the Blackcurrant Oil until the symptoms have cleared.
The natural fragrance we have added to selected products consists of various fragrances from the plant kingdom, and many people with sensitive skin can use them. If you are unsure, please contact our customer service and we will gladly send you free samples to try.
Blackcurrant Oil is a fantastic, light, and smooth oil that nourishes and protects the skin, making it more resilient. However, if you have very dry skin and/or have used products containing mineral oil/silicones, your skin may initially be unable to absorb the oil, causing it to sit on top of the skin. If you have very dry, dehydrated skin, it is like a Wettex cloth and needs moisture to open up and make the skin receptive. Therefore, try moisturizing your skin before applying the oil
or immediately after showering.
Our goal is not to develop new products, but to develop the ones we have and make them multifunctional. This means that a product should be able to be used in several different areas and for different needs.
We usually recommend usingIntensive Nourishing CreamorQuick Repair Creamas an intensely nourishing moisturizing mask. Apply a thick layer before going to bed. It's incredible how easily both creams are absorbed into the skin. The thicker layer provides extra moisture and nourishment to the skin. If you do this when your skin feels extra dry, you will really notice the difference. Your skin will feel so moisturized!
Absolutely, Blackcurrant Oil is fantastic as a bath oil! Mix a few drops of oil into your bath water and leave your skin feeling soft and moisturized.
For extra dry and sensitive skin, we recommend applying the oil to exposed areas before bathing or showering. This protects the skin from the drying effect of water. It is even better to apply the oil after bathing or showering.
If you feel that a moisturizer alone is not enough, we always recommend using a serum/oil underneath. During the winter months, we recommend Intensive Nourishing Serum under your cream as an extra nourishing boost, as your skin needs more nourishment in the form of both oil and moisture. It works for both normal and sensitive skin.
Cleansing Milkis a milk cleanser rich in vegetable fats. If applied to damp skin, these fats will slide around on the skin and have difficulty cleansing deeply. Therefore, applyCleansing Milkto dry skin. Massage the cleanser in with gentle, circular movements and then rinse with lukewarm water.
If you use a lot of makeup/traditional makeup, double cleansing may be necessary. First to dissolve dirt and makeup, and then again to deeply cleanse the skin and pores.
The scalp should have a natural fatty acid layer that protects it. Regular shampoos can remove this layer, leading to an itchy scalp, disturbed microflora, and problems such as dandruff and dry flakes. A stressed body does not prioritize the skin/scalp, which can exacerbate the problems.
To help restore the scalp, we recommend our Quick Relief Shampoo to balance the microflora and Intensive Nourishing Serum to restore dryness. For long-term results, we recommend Q Omega Supreme as a supplement.
To effectively remove buildup and treat dryness-related issues, we recommend using Quick Relief Shampoo together with one of our oils containing blackcurrant seed oil, which provides essential nourishment to the scalp and helps dissolve buildup.
Apply the oil in the evening before bed and let it work overnight. In the morning, gently brush your scalp with a soft natural bristle brush to help loosen and remove any buildup before washing with Quick Relief Shampoo.
How long and how often you’ll need to do this depends on the severity of the problem.
That depends on how long you've had the issue and how severe it is. If the problems have been ongoing for many years, it may take more time to restore balance to the scalp.
Initially, we recommend massaging the oil into your scalp every evening and washing your hair with Quick Relief Shampoo in the morning for the first two weeks. After that, it’s individual—some need to maintain the routine more regularly, while others can reduce the frequency.
This can happen if too much oil is applied or if it's applied incorrectly. Instead of spraying the oil directly onto the scalp, spray a small amount into your palm, then lightly dip your fingertips into the oil and gently massage it into the scalp. This should be done in the evening before bed.
In the morning, brush your scalp and hair with a soft natural bristle brush to help remove any buildup or dry flakes. After brushing, wash your hair with Quick Relief Shampoo, and if needed, apply Q Conditioner to the ends of your hair before rinsing.
We’ve chosen not to use SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), but instead SCS (Sodium Coco Sulfate), a cleansing agent derived from coconut oil. This surfactant is much milder on the skin and a far more environmentally friendly alternative.
The shampoo cleans effectively and does produce some lather, but not nearly as much as traditional shampoos with stronger foaming agents.
Just like hairdressers recommend, we suggest washing twice: first to remove dirt, oil, and styling products, then a second time to work up a lather and ensure your hair is thoroughly clean and fresh.
If you are used to traditional shampoos, it may take a few washes before your hair gets used to the milder surfactants.
No, you don't have to eat Q Omega Supreme, but if you have had problems for a long time and are also bothered by dry skin on the rest of your body, our experience is that it is beneficial to supplement with blackcurrant seed oil internally as well. Our nutritional needs for fatty acids, especially GLA/Omega 6, are not always met by the food we eat. Blackcurrant seed oil contains botheasily absorbedOmega 3 and GLA fatty acids in perfect balance. We recommend 4 capsules/day until you experience less dryness in your skin and scalp.
Research has shown that Cradle cap be due to a difficulty in converting important fatty acids to the skin. This can lead to a deficiency in a fatty acid (GLA), which is important for a healthy skin barrier. Blackcurrant seed oil naturally contains this fatty acid.
We recommend applying Blackcurrant Oil and using a soft towel to loosen the scabs. Results are usually seen within a week. It is common to need to maintain treatment with Blackcurrant Oil. If washing is necessary, use our unscented and mild Q Ultra Care.
The skin on the scalp becomes stressed due to a lack of natural oils and starts to try to compensate for this, resulting in an overproduction of oil. It is also common for the microflora balance in the scalp to be disrupted when it is too dry. We recommend that you use Intensive Nourishing Serum, an oil serum that moisturizes and restores the problems caused by dryness. The serum is massaged into the scalp in the evening and should be left on overnight.
In the morning, wash your hair with Quick Relief Shampoo, a course shampoo that restores the microflora balance in the scalp. Use it as you would a regular shampoo and feel free to wash your hair twice. If you use conditioner, our Q Conditioner is a good option. It is unscented, nourishing, and does not trigger a dry and therefore more sensitive scalp.
We have chosen not to use SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) but instead SCS (Sodium Coco Sulfate) in our shampoos, which is a derivative of coconut oil. This sulfate is much milder and non-irritating to the skin, as well as a significantly more environmentally friendly alternative. Our shampoos clean and lather, but they don't lather as much as traditional shampoos.
Just like hairdressers, we recommend washing twice: first to remove dirt, grease, and styling products, and then again to work up a lather and get your hair really clean and fresh.
If you are used to traditional shampoos, it may take a few washes before your hair gets used to the milder surfactants.
In that case, we recommend using our oil serum, Intensive Nourishing Serum, as a hair mask. This serum is enriched with nourishing fatty acids that nourish, protect, and restore dry and low-fat hair. Apply the oil serum to dry hair, leave it in for a while, preferably overnight, and then wash your hair with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner, preferably with our repairing hair care kit.
It sounds like you have a lack of natural oils and that your scalp is actually very dry. The skin on your scalp becomes stressed by the lack of natural oils and starts to try to compensate for this, resulting in an overproduction of sebum. It is also common for the microflora balance in the scalp to be disrupted when it is too dry.
We recommend using Intensive Nourishing Serum, an oil serum that moisturizes and restores problems caused by dryness. The serum is massaged into the scalp in the evening and should be left on overnight. You can also massage the serum into the lengths of your hair, which would be good for your dry and frizzy hair.
In the morning, wash your hair with Quick Relief Shampoo, a course shampoo that restores the microflora balance in the scalp. Use it as a regular shampoo and wash twice for deep cleansing. Our nourishing conditioner, Q Conditioner would also be good for your curly hair.
The most common cause of pigment spots is an imbalance in the skin's pigment-producing cells (melanocytes). The most common causes are sun exposure and hormonal imbalances/changes, such as pregnancy and birth control pill use. What is not as well known is that the risk of hyperpigmentation also increases significantly with a lack of omega-3, omega-6, and natural antioxidants. These nutrients are essential for the skin to be resilient and maintain its ability to retain moisture, elasticity, and an even skin tone.
We recommend using sunscreen and wearing a cap or hat, of course, but you also need to think about nourishing your skin.
How do you do that?
We have seen fantastic results with the combination of Lingonberry Hi-tech Serum in Cream and Q Balancing Booster.
Lingonberry Hi-tech Serum in Creamcontains deep-acting serum ingredients such as lingonberry seed oil (patented to counteract hyperpigmentation) and Matrixyl (microcollagen that stimulates skin renewal), as well as hops, which have a bleaching effect on hyperpigmentation. Hyaluronic acid and probiotic enzymes strengthen the skin barrier and contribute to increased resistance.
QBalancing Boosterenhances the effect of Lingonberry Hi-tech Serum in Cream. Suppressing Booster contains niacinamide (vitamin B3) and vitamin B5, which have barrier-strengthening properties and effectively reduce hyperpigmentation and give a more even skin tone.
If you have recurring problems with sunspots (hyperpigmentation), we recommend nourishing your skin from within. Take 2 Lingonberry capsules per day or 4 Q Omega Supreme capsules per day if you have severe dry skin problems.
Providing the nutrition your skin needs to be resilient and healthy (Omega-3, Omega-6, antioxidants), preferably from both inside and outside, can definitely counteract hyperpigmentation. Our study and many customers have confirmed this.
If you have recurring problems with sun spots (hyperpigmentation), nourishment from within will also give you better results. Take 2 Lingonberry capsules per day or 4 Q Omega Supreme capsules per day if you have severe dryness problems.
Your skin may feel dry at first, but this is actually a positive process. The dryness indicates that skin cell renewal has begun, thanks to the omega-3 fatty acids in lingonberry oil. These fatty acids penetrate the skin barrier more easily and stimulate the production of new skin cells. This is why your skin feels drier. This cream has the same effect as a peel, but you don't have to scrub your skin. The dryness will decrease once your skin has adjusted to the cream.
During the winter months, we recommend using Intensive Nourishing Serum under your cream for an extra boost of nourishment, as your skin needs more nourishment in the form of both oil and moisture.
We recommend applying or spraying the intimate area generously with Blackcurrant Oil morning and evening for three weeks, and as needed during the day. The oil softens the skin by restoring the natural lipid balance and creates a soothing barrier that protects and nourishes dry, sensitive tissue.
We also recommend Q Ultra Care as an intimate wash. This gentle cleanser helps restore and maintain the natural balance of the intimate area.If symptoms persist after three weeks, we recommend consulting a gynaecologist.
Temporary imbalances are common during certain periods. Simply changing what you wash with can go a long way. Soap, even if it is a so-called intimate soap, can be drying, just as plain water can be. We recommend Blackcurrant Oil before showering to protect against the drying effect of water, but also to add nourishing lipids to a dry intimate area. It is not moisture that is lacking, but softening nourishing lipids.
It’s also important to consider what shampoo and body wash you use, as these can also dry out the skin and disrupt the intimate microbiome. That’s why we recommend our gentle, fragrance-free Q Ultra Care — a mild cleanser that helps maintain the natural balance of the intimate area.
If symptoms persist after three weeks, we recommend consulting a gynaecologist.
It is well known that dry mucous membranes in the genital area can also lead to urinary tract infections. If you often have problems with urinary tract infections, it is particularly important to look at the big picture.
- What intimate wash should I use?
- Do I lubricate my intimate area? If so, with what?
- Am I getting easily absorbed, good quality Omega-3 and Omega-6?
It can make a big difference to review what is on your bathroom shelf, as there are many ingredients in skin and hair care products that are drying and thus create imbalance and intimate area dry, sensitive intimate area.
We recommend spraying/lubricating the genital area generously with Blackcurrant Oil in the morning and evening, and as needed during the day, and that you also provide important nutrition from within (Q Omega Supreme) for a few months. Q Ultra Care is recommended as an intimate wash due to its mild properties.
Blackcurrant Oil is a fantastic plant-based oil for dry skin and delicate mucous membranes. It softens and soothes by restoring the natural lipid balance, while forming a comfortable barrier that protects and nourishes dry, sensitive areas.
Rich in nurturing lipids — Omega-3 and Omega-6 from blackcurrant seed oil — it helps to rebuild the skin’s natural barrier.
Blackcurrant Oil is free from added fragrances and preservatives, making it especially suitable for the intimate area, where maintaining the natural pH and microbiome is essential.
As Blackcurrant Oil is a self-care product, it needs to be used consistently and generously in order to be effective. We recommend applying or spraying the intimate area at least three times a day to start with, using a generous amount each time. If you're not seeing results, it’s often because the application has been too sparing.
We also suggest carrying a small spray bottle in your bag so you can reapply after using the toilet, even when you're not at home.
It’s equally important to look at what you’re using to cleanse the area. Soap — even those labelled as "intimate" — can be drying, and even plain water can disrupt the skin’s natural balance.
That’s why we recommend our gentle, fragrance-free Q Ultra Care cleanser, formulated to help maintain the natural balance of the intimate area.
If your symptoms persist after three weeks of consistent use, we recommend consulting a gynaecologist.
This is actually a positive and natural process. Our nutrient-rich berry oils stimulate cell renewal, which can cause the skin to begin "shedding" old, dry cells. This can temporarily feel like increased dryness.
It’s only a temporary phase, so we recommend continuing to apply or spray the oil generously. Your skin is adjusting and will soon feel softer and more balanced.
There can be many causes, but the most common reason is dryness in the intimate area. We recommend spraying/applying Blackcurrant Oil liberally for three weeks. In our study, pain during intercourse was reduced by 76% after six weeks.
No, you don't have to take Q Omega Supreme, but if you have had problems for a long time and also suffer from dry skin, our experience is that it is beneficial to supplement fatty acids internally as well. Our nutritional needs for fatty acids, especially GLA/Omega 6, are not always met by the food we eat. Blackcurrant seed oil contains botheasily absorbedOmega 3 and GLA fatty acids in perfect balance. We recommend 4 capsules/day until you experience better balance in your mucous membranes.
We have chosen carbon dioxide pressed berry seed oils in our capsules, which means a technically complex production method that is free from contamination and oxidation. No high temperatures or chemical solvents are used. The method is ecological. The result is a vegetable oil of the highest quality with completely pure bioactive nutrients.
We've seen big differences in results in our studies if you take the capsules in addition to using the skin and hair care products. Whether you need to take the capsules depends on how long and how extensive your skin problems are. We assume that it is often nutritional deficiencies / imbalances regarding Omega 3 / Omega 6 that are the basis for the problems.
Week 1: 1 capsule per day with meals
Week 2: 2 caps per day with meals
Week 3: 3 capsules per day with meals
Week 4: 4 capsules per day with meals
Increase the dose gradually each week or at a slower rate to 4 capsules/day. Then switch to a maintenance dose of 2 capsules per day.

Blackcurrants and lingonberries contain plenty of nutrients, but it is the oil inside the seeds that provides the super nutrition. It is therefore not enough to eat the berries whole to benefit from their health-promoting effects, as the seeds are so small that they tend to slip through the stomach and intestinal tract.
Q Omega Supreme is a complete nutritional support for skin, mucous membranes and internal well-being. Blackcurrant seed oil and sea buckthorn oil are great partners that together offer a broad spectrum of fatty acids Omega-3, -6 (GLA), -7 & -9 (in perfect balance and of the best quality) as well as fat-soluble antioxidants in the form of carotenoids that protect our cells against stress.
Many people in the Western world have problems with the balance between Omega-3 and Omega-6.
A lack or imbalance of essential fatty acids inside the body can lead to many different problems for our general well-being - often visible on the outside, such as dry skin, premature ageing, hair loss, but also mental health and cardiovascular disorders.
Nature itself has created the perfect balance of Omega-3 and Omega-6 in our berry seed oils. For example, in our fantastic blackcurrant seed oil, there is an ideal combination of easily absorbable Omega-3 and Omega-6 in the form of Stearidonic acid and Gammalinolenic acid, which the body can easily absorb.
The fact that this combination is found in the blackcurrant seed oil is unique, something that has not been found anywhere else. It is also a sustainable resource that is important to us. We see our blackcurrant seed oil capsules as a nutritional support from within for, among other things, optimized skin quality, but also for mucous membranes, hormone and immune systems.
It sometimes happens that you get an upset stomach from fatty acids initially. This is usually temporary, we recommend drinking more water and continuing with a low dose for another week.
In some cases, an initial worsening can occur. If this happens, we recommend reducing the capsule dosage and increasing your water intake. If the issues persist, you’re very welcome to book a consultation for personalised advice.
You can definitely combine the capsules because there are significant differences in their contents. Both oils in the capsules are carbon dioxide-pressed and seed oils. Blackcurrant seed oil contains easily absorbed omega-3 (stearidonic acid) and omega-6/GLA, which have been shown to be highly valuable nutritional supplements for our skin, especially if you suffer from dry skin and dry mucous membranes.
Lingonberry seed oil contains abundant omega-3 (45% more than natural fish oil) and the unusually powerful antioxidant gamma-tocotrienol. These nutrients have been shown to promote radiance and freshness, moisturize, reduce wrinkle depth, improve facial skin elasticity naturally, and counteract hyperpigmentation. The new anti-aging treatment to combat premature aging with the finest ingredients from our Nordic nature.
Many people combine the capsules, in which case it is important to take them at different times. We recommend taking two in the morning and two in the evening. The reason for dividing them up is that the nutrients in blackcurrant seed oil are easily absorbed, ensuring optimal nutrient uptake.
Yes, by combining blackcurrant seed oil and sea buckthorn oil you get the full spectrum of essential fatty acids Omega-3, -6 (GLA), -7 & -9.
