Nutritious, locally produced berry seed oil as a residual product
The most important ingredient in our skin care products is the nutritious berry seed oil from lingonberries and blackcurrants. The supplier we have chosen for the berry seed oil in our products takes the seeds from the food industry, where they are a by-product of juice production. This reduces waste from the food industry and thus waste in general, as we make use of a residual product that would otherwise be discarded.
The oil is extracted from the seeds using an ecological and very environmentally friendly pressing method, which means that only circulating carbon dioxide is added, the same gas we breathe out, and neither heat nor chemicals are added to the oils.

An important part of our environmental work is to offer essential omega fatty acids for the skin in a sustainable way, without negative environmental impact such as overfishing.

Ethically tested & produced products
Our supplier of berry seed oil has quality and environmental certifications according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 to ensure high standards for both quality and the environment. Together with them, we work actively to ensure consistently high quality in our products. All raw materials and products undergo standardized testing to ensure their quality in qualified testing laboratories.
With the exception of honey in one of our shampoos, Q for Skin is completely vegan. We do not use any substances of animal origin in our production, except for small amounts of honey. All production takes place in Scandinavia, which means we can guarantee that production takes place in countries with legislation that prohibits the testing of products or substances on animals and ensures that employees have good working conditions and reasonable compensation for their work.

For hygienic reasons, skin care products require secure packaging, and plastic is a product that preserves the shelf life of skin care products. That is why it is particularly important for us to contribute to a circular economy and increased recycling of plastic.
Our packaging is made from plastic without the addition of strong colors that make it difficult to recycle the plastic again. It is extremely important to increase plastic recycling if we are to reduce the mountains of waste in the developing world, plastic in our oceans, the use of fossil raw materials such as oil, and to reduce the emissions that occur when plastic is incinerated.
