Sofia's results with Q for Skin

Article in Må Bra:

Sofia's scalp was itchy and itchy. A treatment with various fatty acids saved the day!

A poor diet combined with stress gave Sofia extreme itching and dandruff-like flakes on her scalp. It was so bad that Sofia was constantly thinking about how to style or comb her hair to hide the irritation on her scalp.

- I was extremely limited; I could never have let my hair down or tried new hairstyles when I wanted to look my best. I always had my hair up.

After three years of itching, Sofia had had enough and went to her family doctor, who advised her to use dandruff shampoo and cortisone—even though Sofia was sure that she didn't have dandruff. She had had it a few times when she was younger, but this was something else. There were an extremely large number of flakes—more than normal dandruff. At times, they were also very large.

- But I did what the doctor said, even though it only got worse. I got even more itchy, and if I thought the flakes were like snow before, now it was like a snowstorm. It itched like crazy, I was going nuts.

Sofia has always been interested in alternative medicine and has been using natural products for her body and face for several years. One day, she passed by a skin and hair care salon that was offering scalp analysis. Sofia signed up and learned that her scalp was almost completely devoid of oil—her skin barrier was leaky and unable to retain moisture.

- It was obvious to me that I should take part in the study. I thought I was eating well and should have been getting enough of the right kind of fat, but that was clearly not the case.

Q for Skin, the company behind the study, wanted to investigate the effect of sea buckthorn and blackcurrant seed oils on itching, flaking, and dryness. Sofia was given a special brush, capsulescontaining sea buckthorn oil and blackcurrant seed oil, and a shampoo for itching. "After two weeks, I had no itching at all," says Sofia.

"It's quite time-consuming, but it's definitely worth it! With the right routines, it works well. It's fantastic. Now I feel much better, I can wear my hair down and I don't have that inner stress."
