We’ve chosen not to use SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), but instead SCS (Sodium Coco Sulfate), a cleansing agent derived from coconut oil. This surfactant is much milder on the skin and a far more environmentally friendly alternative.

The shampoo cleans effectively and does produce some lather, but not nearly as much as traditional shampoos with stronger foaming agents.

Just like hairdressers recommend, we suggest washing twice: first to remove dirt, oil, and styling products, then a second time to work up a lather and ensure your hair is thoroughly clean and fresh.

If you are used to traditional shampoos, it may take a few washes before your hair gets used to the milder surfactants.

To effectively remove buildup and treat dryness-related issues, we recommend using Quick Relief Shampoo together with one of our oils containing blackcurrant seed oil, which provides essential nourishment to the scalp and helps dissolve buildup.

Apply the oil in the evening before bed and let it work overnight. In the morning, gently brush your scalp with a soft natural bristle brush to help loosen and remove any buildup before washing with Quick Relief Shampoo.

How long and how often you’ll need to do this depends on the severity of the problem.

This is a common issue and often caused by the scalp being too dry. When the scalp lacks natural fats, it becomes stressed and tries to compensate by overproducing oil. At the same time, the balance of the scalp’s microflora can become disrupted, which may lead to itching, flaking, or irritation.
