Linda got rid of her skin problems – blackcurrant seed oil was the solution

Article in Året Runt:

Year after year, she applied cortisone cream. Yet Linda's painful skin condition did not improve. But then she started using blackcurrant seeds.

It all started when she was one year old. That's when Linda Lööf, now 37, developed skin problems in the creases of her knees and arms and on the back of her thighs. It itched so much that she had to moisturise cortisone cream every day to soothe it.

"I remember feeling different when I started school, it was really tough. For example, my classmates went to the swimming pool, but I couldn't go because my skin problems could get worse," she says.

Reaching puberty can be difficult for many, but for Linda it was a relief, as her problems disappeared. She enjoyed not having to deal with the itching and strong creams. However, the joy didn't last more than a couple of years. The skin problems reappeared, but in completely different places than before: on her face, neck, right hand, and right nipple.

"I got large cracks and red, burning rashes.

"Since March, I haven't used a single cortisone cream. And now my skin problems are completely gone."

Participated in a study

A couple of years ago, she started developing fungal infections on her skin, which spread
across her neck and around her eyes. She was advised to review her diet and
avoid sugar and wheat, which promote fungal growth.

But what really changed Linda's life was her participation in a study conducted by Q for Skin. This is a company that manufactures natural skin and hair care products that contain high levels of antioxidants and other health-promoting substances.

In the study, Linda was given capsules containing blackcurrant seed oil and moisturise with a cream containing the same ingredient. Gradually, her symptoms began to disappear.

"I haven't used a single cortisone cream since March. And now my skin problems are completely gone," says Linda.

The question is whether it is the new diet or the capsules and skin care products that have produced such good results. Linda herself believes that the exclusion of wheat and sugar is important, but she is convinced that the latter is the main reason.
