Frequent washing, hot water, soap and harsh cleansing agents can affect the skin's natural balance of oil and moisture. When the skin is washed too often or too vigorously, it can feel dry, tight and sensitive.
Perfume and strong or active ingredients can irritate sensitive skin. Even some products used for skin concerns can feel too strong when the skin barrier is already fragile. For sensitive skin, it can therefore be a good idea to avoid unnecessary strain and choose unscented, mild and nourishing products.
Stress can affect the skin, and for some people periods of stress can coincide with worsening skin problems. Sleep and recovery can also make a difference to how your skin feels.
The skin needs nutrients and fatty acids to function and preserve its natural barrier. A one-sided or nutrient-poor diet can mean that the body doesn't get all the nutrients it needs. That's why it can be worth reviewing your diet and nutrition as part of the bigger picture for your skin.
Everyone is different, and some people have skin that more easily becomes dry, sensitive or reactive. The skin's needs can also change over the course of life, for example with age, hormonal changes or periods of stress.
Every day, the skin is exposed to stresses from our surroundings. Cold, dry air, heat and rapid changes in temperature can affect the skin's ability to retain moisture and make sensitive skin more reactive.
For eleven weeks, participants took four Blackcurrant Capsules a day and applied Quick Repair Cream and Blackcurrant Oil at least twice daily. When needed, they washed their skin with Q Ultra Care.
The participants were then divided into two groups to investigate whether a change in diet could affect their skin problems. Group 1 used only Q for Skin's products. Group 2 used the same products while also cutting sugar and white flour out of their diet.
The study ran for eleven weeks and was conducted to investigate the effect of the self-care routine and whether a change in diet could make a difference for people with atopic skin.
The study lasted eleven weeks.
| Sensitive range/Blackcurrant Capsules | Sensitive range/Blackcurrant Capsules/dietary restrictions | |
|---|---|---|

| After 2 weeks | 4,1 | 3,9 |
| After 11 weeks | 6,3 | 8,1 |
Follow the routine daily for the best effect.
Apply Quick Repair Cream to dry, fragile areas on your face/body, several times a day if needed. For reactive skin, we recommend first massaging in Blackcurrant Oil and then applying Quick Repair Cream.
Soft Hands & Feet
Wash away dirt and any make-up from the day with Cleansing Milk, applied to dry skin, then rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel. If you wear conventional make-up, double cleansing is recommended.

Moisturising should feel good. If you have extra sensitive skin, we recommend doing a simple skin test. Apply a little to a small area on your forearm and see how it feels.
Our Sensitive range is specially designed for those with extremely dry, sensitive or eczema-prone skin. The products contain no fragrances, citric acid or harsh preservatives that irritate the skin.
How you experience the products can vary. We therefore recommend trying them on a small area first to see how your skin reacts before applying them all over your body. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll send you samples first.
It depends on how long you have had problems. If you've had them for a long time, it's important to be patient — it can take time to get your skin back in balance. Follow the routine daily and evaluate after a few weeks. Many customers notice a clear difference within 2–6 weeks, but for some it takes longer.
Many different factors can play a part — diet, cold, stress, poor sleep, heat, harsh skincare products and fragrances are common triggers. Note what affects your particular skin so you can avoid it as far as possible. A simple skincare routine with few products reduces the risk of hypersensitivity.
Yes. The Sensitive range is safe for the whole family. Moisturise the skin with Quick Repair Cream — if the skin is very dry, apply Blackcurrant Oil first and then moisturise with Quick Repair Cream. Use the products several times a day as needed. Wash skin and hair with Q Ultra Care, which is unscented and gentle.
For long-term problems, we recommend also strengthening your skin from within with Q Omega Supreme — a vegan-friendly omega supplement with easily absorbed Omega-3, -6 (GLA), -7 & -9 and fat-soluble antioxidants (carotenoids) that moisturise and strengthen the skin barrier.
